Our sessions with Julio have been such a pleasure. We’d never done any kind of therapy and had all sorts of preconceived notions. Julio’s humour and humanity cut through the awkwardness and his open style made us feel immediately at ease and open to the work. In terms of results, Julio helped us understand the roots of our relational patterns and provided actionable options to shape them towards the kind of relationship we want and need. It is a cliche, granted not usually applied to therapy, but I laughed and cried in every session! Julio was able to go deep but also not take us or himself too seriously and brought a levity and empathy that made the experience both extremely impactful and fun.

A few months ago, I began a process of Relational Life work with Julio, motivated by the difficulties I was having in forming romantic relationships after a traumatic marital breakup. I felt like I was repeating patterns that kept me from building the kinds of connections I truly wanted. From the beginning, Julio offered a loving, supportive, and nonjudgmental presence. With him, I felt a safe space to heal my childhood wounds and connect with my inner child—to look her in the eyes and tell her she’s no longer alone. It’s been a deep process, at times painful, but also full of discoveries about myself. I’ve learned to offer that child a new kind of relationship—one rooted in love, care, and healthy boundaries. Thanks to this work, I’ve been able to start healing relationships with my parents and with people I once loved and who loved me, but with whom there were unresolved issues. Today, I’m able to see them through the lens of love and understanding. I am an older woman, and perhaps for that reason, this process has been even more meaningful. It has opened up new possibilities for me and shown me that it’s never too late to love and be loved. I am deeply grateful to Julio for his patience and his wise, loving guidance. I wholeheartedly recommend this process to anyone who is willing to look at themselves honestly and to give themselves the gift of loving — and being loved — with greater awareness of who we were and who we are.
